Baby Jack’s Coastal blanket

There was a lot of excitement when Baby Jack was born across the waters in New Zealand – he was the first grandson/nephew/boy cousin on my husband’s side of the family! The soft blues and turquoises surrounded by warm cream seemed perfect for our little kiwi.

I am really pleased with how it turned out – in fact it may possibly be one of my favourite blankets so far. The crofter yarn is just lovely to work with – the colour blends are always so pretty.

Yarn: Sirdar Baby Crofter, DK – Archie (166) and Sirdar Snuggly, DK – Cream (303)

Hook: 5mm

Dimensions:

Made up of: 20 granny individual squares (4 squares wide x 5 squares long)

Weight: approx.

  1. If I may speak on baby jack’s behalf… ‘Thank you Aunty Shivs, this gorgeous blankie kept me snug as a newborn and now keeps me cosy on every buggy ride.’ Love it!!
